Gerry & The Pacemakers Farewell Tour

60's British Invasion Legend says goodbye

Showcase Entertainment Group in association with The Harbour Agency Australia and Playtime Promotions in New Zealand are thrilled to announce British pop rock icons Gerry and the Pacemakers will be on tour in 2013 with a 50th anniversary Farewell tour of Australia and New Zealand. The tour kicks off in Queensland February 28, 2013 and will take in 18 venues in all major towns and cities in Australia and 10 shows in New Zealand with special guests The Searchers (NZ Only) for what promises to be a trip down memory lane, and the end of an era for one of the British Invasion’s most enduring artists. Tickets are on sale from September 24 on Gerry’s 70th Birthday in Australia through venue box offices and usual ticket outlets.
Gerry and the Pacemakers were a major part of what history now calls ‘The 60’s British Invasion’ along with their friends the Beatles, with songs like How do you do it, I like it, Ferry cross the Mersey and You’ll never walk alone. These simple melodies were the soundtracks to a generation and are the reason why Gerry has achieved such longevity as a popular draw-card on stages worldwide today.
